Heat in a tire is BAD. The lack of safety bead humps has nothing to do with tube type or tubeless tires. VW went to tubeless tires in 1957, but didn't incorporate safety bead humps until 10 years later. Your wheels are meant to be tubeless, your tires are meant to be tubeless. Don't put tubes in them.
