This product launch happened during the Staccato Range Day event held at their sister company's Prairie Fire complex an hour west of Las Vegas, in Pahrump, Nevada (the former location of Frontsite).Anyway, many reviews i have read put the Stealth Arms Platypus on par (or better) than Staccato. A guy i shoot with weekly just got his yesterday and says its just as good as the Staccato’s he owns, (C2, CS and P). The kicker is the Platypus (the way i have it configured) is 800-1000 less than the C2.

I currently run this setup and like the flexibility of being able to shoot suppressed when I’d like. I've considered that - but my Staccato is 100% a competition gun, so I don't ever see the need to suppress it. If you are using it for edc I would choice the wilson as it is smaller.

The safety is good but thats not surprising because the 1911 safety is the best safety there is. Weight wise the Staccato clocks in at ~34oz and the Glock 17 at ~22oz. Thats a pretty big difference and the added weight is what helps the Staccato shoot well. For a duty gun though, I'm not sure if this is worth it.
