The biggest issue is just, that there is two things is very important in proplay that Ryze is good at: Establishing lane-prio. Ryze have a very strong push why he can easily move around. In proplay the extra damage that some champs has can’t really compensate for the 2-3 seconds Ryze arrive to the fight. An AOE teleport ult which is great in ... A lot of people don't really bother funneling resources to him any more as an average Invoker with enough levels can already do a lot with damage spells like Chaos Meteor(Meatball!) and a Deafening Blast.

Its actually not too bad. The problem with lane ryze is that u have to face an oponent 1v1 with no dmg, no sustain, no nothing until u get a couple items. With ryze jungle youre able to safely farm (if the enemy doesnt invade you) and your ganks arent bad at all with a point and click CC. Only thing that helds him back is stuff like WW Kha Udyr ...I am intrigued by your approach but fail to understand your thought process. I don't think they means completing seraphs. I think they instead buy the comps for raw stats and then complete ROA. Calatyst still being the rush and then going for Rod and kindle. With the lower experience, Ryze is delaying this damage increase for ~3 minutes if memory serves. This is a huge negative compared to the solo lanes.
