Not far from times square, central park .In vegas ( mgm), (tropicana) (new york new york), and (monte carlo) on the south end of the strip, are all very good hotels.More central and to the north you have the (mirage), (Treasure island). 4 days in Vegas is too much for a trip of this nature. Plan being in LV 2 days, 3 at most. I would look into flying into NY and making that the hub for your trips. NY-LV is about 4-5 hours. Ditto for NY - Cancun. Check US airways website as well.
