Turn the key to the "On" position for a few seconds while the fuel pump runs (can hear it in some GM vehicles- I haven't noticed it in the Malibu) to let it build up pressure, then over the Start. See if that changes anything.

I got in and drove about 1/4 mile. Turned left, the engine stalls out. Never got above 20 mph during this. I've got a 2012 Malibu, 2.4L 4cyl. Car will crank but not start. I checked fuel pressure at the rail. It comes up instantly to between 50 and 60psi. It is definitely getting injected because the plugs were wet with fuel when I pulled those. Flood on cold start could be do to a faulty engine temperature sensor. You need to see what temp. ECT sensor is reading on a cold start via scan tool. Check inlet temp. also. PCM adjusts fuel richer for colder temps. so if PCM see's colder than what it actually is it could flood motor.
