The fluid is full in the reservoir. I figured it was the master cylinder however when I open the bleeder on the rear caliper and press the brake, fluid comes out.

The 2006 Honda VTX1300C is a great bike. This is my first "big" bike. I wasn't sure that a 1300cc was a bike that was too powerful for a novice rider. The roll on power is impressive to say the least. It definitely has enough "zip" to get out of trouble or around another vehicle in a hurry. The braking is great.
