USAA like a lot of others is in massive cost cutting mode. Bonuses have taken a nose dive year over year. Fear of layoffs loom constantly all over the bank. They have brought a lot of outside leadership that don't know the USAA way and it's starting to change the feel of the company and it's impacting morale all over.

The way I see it is that a superstar picked up his tools and has moved on. Whatever he saw as relevant for joining USAA is now over, done, and dusted. Get the hint?
