Toyota want almost $1000 for that part alone and you'll still have to open the transfer case up to pull the actuator off. Instead I went a bought an used whole transfer case for $600 and put it on. If its stuck in 4 Lo, put the switch into 4Lo. Stop completely, press the clutch all the way down, and switch to 4Hi. May have to go forward or back a bit to get 4Lo to disengage. Occasionally when I start the vehicle, the 4lo light is flashing accompanied by a beeping alert, the transmission releases into a neutral position and the shift selector becomes essentially useless (you can toggle from Park through each setting including drive and the transmission will not engage).

It was working fine. When I turned the switch to 4 low while in neutral, the light on the dash just blinked rapidly.
