Re: Relief and Cross Hatch. by Tooter » Tue Feb 28, 2023 3:30 pm. Do a small offset around the area you want as a relief. This will tell Lightburn to fill the area outside of the relief area. Once you set the offset make sure you select fill in the cuts and layer tab then it should automatically do what you want. Let me know if this works.

Setting my box generator to 0 did the trick for me! I find the kerf is accurate but rather tight. In Lightburn there is a setting to adjust the kerf offset and I'm starting to play with this. I figure this will loosen the joinery a bit. I'm starting small with only a .025mm offset. My first test didn't seem to be much of a difference.

Most fonts in TTF or OTF formats have to be closed paths, so when burned tend to look like "bubbles" in line mode. Open path fonts are more appropriate for engraving.
