EDIT: Turning off "accelerate ASTC texture decoding" seemed to work, but now it takes a couple seconds every time I get out of a menu (be it the pause screen or the weapon select) for the game to start up again. Is there a fix for that?

My suggestion to anyone else having a similar problem is to: 1. go to the folder you have your game saved, 2. attempt to run the game from the folder, 3. when asked what program to use, simply navigate to your emulator.See what Nintendo doesn't want you to see! To support the emulator and the people maintaining it. I think I'm still on ea 3606 or something like that and the beginning of tears worked pretty well, but I'm not interested in playing it. I did see a comment a few days ago stating there's not much difference between ea and normal yuzu as of probably 3606.

A 7800X3D/7950X3D/13900K would be ideal, but a 7600 should be very good, leaves an upgrade path to later 8000 series Ryzens too. If you can tolerate 50 FPS or so and more, an upgrade to a 5800X3D would be fine. A regular Zen3 (5700X, 5600) would give you 40-45 FPS in heavy areas and 60 in open spots.
