2017 Jeep Wrangler overheating. Engine gets extremely hot, radiator shows no signs of circulation changed out thermostat and still have same problem. Tried burping air out, engine still gets extremely hot and radiation/coolant inside isn’t hot and no signs of circulation. Water pump/clogged radiator?On hot days (temps in 90's plus), my Jeep would overheat while driving regardless of speed. Higher speeds didn't help cool it off. In older vehicles that had questionable cooling fans, you could just drive 50-60 and the airflow through radiator was enough to keep your engine happy. Not so in the JK. Particularly if you're running the A/C.It was running hot before the install as well which JKs are known to do. There is a lot of heat being transferred to the coolant from when it is at the front of the block to the back that will still occur regardless of whatever radiator you have. Decided to replace thermostat. Put new Mopar thermostat in, and the JK still runs at 220 on average. Took JK to my other mechanic. He did some research and found that drilling a 1/8" hole in thermostat will allow Jeep to run cooler. Decided to drill hole. The Jeep is still running hot. About 220. Took the JK back to the dealer.

It is currently out of warranty. Last year the Jeep overheated pretty good, starting off as a little higher than normal and then over a few months going to 3/4 temp.Kept getting 0301 and 0306 codes and a rough idle after changing plugs coil packs. Also purchased 1 injector to try and locate a common cylinder issue. Still throwing the check engine light with same cylinder misfires coded. Pulled the plugs and regapped them .005-.007 over and a miracle occurred.

Normal temps should be in 200-220 range, 230-ish after strong acceleration or steep hill. I recently got to 240 (with a couple seconds at 244) while towing a heavy trailer uphill on the interstate in 89F weather - 4000 rpm in 3rd at 55 mph. A couple of weeks ago the electric radiator fan came on during a 2 hour drive and was very loud. After that day, that fan now comes on at full speed whenever driving more than about 10 miles on the highway. At full speed, its loud! I took it into the dealer and they replaced the TIPM computer and said it was fixed.

Try leaving the AC on it will turn the engine fan on Low and keep coolant temps down.
