The 4.0% for Princeton in 2021 was in a year when they admitted 15% fewer students bc they factored in Covid gap years when most colleges didn’t. I would write about something was not included in your essays(or something that happened after you submitted apps) and maybe include things specific about berkeley that you're interested in and would help you and that you could be involved in.

Riding a wait list is very stressful--because you can't make plans for moving etc. until late in the game. It also means that you most likely will not get merit aid.
