Fast forward to this past August 22nd and it threw another P0300. In this case I had driven about 50 miles to see family. The Jeep sat in the driveway for about 4 hours. It was hot. Then after departing, and getting to the stop sign down the street, about 1 minute since engine start, the CEL came on. I always carry a scanner and it said P0300.

I go out to jeep and the check engine light is flashing, along with ess disabled light. And running on half the engine being injectors are cut off when it detects a misfire. So I cut it off and restart it runs with a small stumble but no longer in limp mode. As I drive away I get a cel. I check it with a bluetooth scanner and its a p0300.Its a #2 cylinder misfire. Make sure the wire is on nice and tight. Clear the code and run it. If/when the light comes back on with a P0302, move the #2 coil pack to a different location. Clear the code, wait for it to come back. If the problem is still #2, then try swapping the spark plug with another cylinder.
