Hey, ADT employee here. If it's a Command (touchscreen) panel, it shouldn't be recording you at all times. It just takes a snapshot when you arm and disarm the system with the panel. If you really don't want it to though, I'd recommend a small piece of painter's tape. Put tape over it. Click on Alarm System from the left menu. Click on the System Test tab.
