Consider all your options. While the pathways program can help make sure you get into engineering at UIUC, it also leaves a lot to be desired. You'll transfer in and likely have to take freshmen courses to catch up, you won't know anyone at UIUC, and there's a good chance you'll have to be at UIUC for 2.5 years in order to graduate.

ACE 251 was interesting and easy. It's Econ 102 but about food and you get to choose western or non-western credit. AAS 100 I believe. Ling 111 was an awesome classes taught by grad students. It's an intro linguistics class called language in global context and I had a lot of fun.

It's really not bad, but again be ready to spend 10-20 hours a week on MP and labs. I skipped over CS 300s and opted for CS466 (Bioinformatics) and CS498 classes. Also side note, Stat 107 is more stat programming so pretty different from what you'll see in CS classes. It's a doable adjustment though.

If you can get Angrave as a professor, it will be one of the greatest classes you will ever take. The current professor, Zilles, is pretty good too. Warning: tough to get into as a non-CS major and tough to do well in without prior CS knowledge.
