Since 1997 we have owned a Kinze 12/23 2600, a JD 1790 16/32, a Kinze 3600 16/32, & am currently running a CIH 1240 24x20" planter. Might get off easy there. If that's not it you probably need a new harness. You can check out ag express, they sell them. Just my 2 cents, the 1780 is not my favorite bar, when folded it is heavy on the draw bar, when turning on the ends the planter will pick up the weight on the draw bar making it difficult to make turns, will take front wheel assit to pull. Not good in wet conditions, a boat anchor if you lift planter.

Jan 24, 2014 · We had 1780 12/23 that we used for beans only for quite a while and it did a fine job, for the money that they are asking for them I think it would be a good move for a bean only planter. We traded our 1780 and a 16 row 1770 recently for a 1790 16-31. I think they are asking somewhere between 25 and 30 for the 1780.
