Jeep wrangler limp mode reset.

I ordered my jeep in feb 2010 and took delivery 4/1/10. I assume mine has the newer update. The only item I did for my transmission was add the mopar cooler kit at about 40K I think. These transmissions run a bit hot and jeep didn't account for an external cooler. Guys cooked them just pushing them hard on highways, especially hilly/mountain roads.Nov 11, 2022 · My 42rle auto transmission is currently in limp mode with a p1745 code. Also, briefly it showed a p0868 code as well. Prior to this, the trans pan was leaking pretty bad. So i changed the filter, gasket, and then just filled the fluid back up to good. The next weekend I did some light off roading and realized my radiator had cracked. I do not offroad it or spin tires in the mud, only do occasional light offroad trips which do not put much stress on components. The day before the limp mode happened, I changed tires from stock Goodyears to 285/70/17s. So I was traveling outside of the city and the jeep went into a limp mode, 2nd gear, nothing else. Reverse works.Well I spent ALL day chasing down possible causes to the limp mode. 1. I also tried swapping the transmission relay with the other one in the box (powertrain relay?), the car started just fine.My sway bar disconnect light came on, then right after that I started getting a bunch of lights (flashing sway bar light, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitor, oil pressure warning, hot oil, and check engine light). I went to Canadian Tire and purchased a Jeep recommended coolant and topped it up. This was unsuccessful at solving the issue. I checked the engine code and got code P0344. I looked up the code on the internet and found that it was a Cam Position Sensor that was the likely culprit of the issue.

I found one on Autozone for $388 but it needs further programming or a flash.

check your connections at the trans. Remove them, spray with electronics cleaner and secure the plugs. Reset with the code with obd2 reader and drive around seeing if the code pops back up.
