Act 1 allows you to pick one race to destroy, goblins or tieflings. You choose to destroy Goblins because the Tieflings are more relatable or "good", but the Goblins have their own culture and their own right to live.It was a very hard fight. Her death doesn't impact the main narrative, but it will mean that you can't recruit a certain character in Act 3. Jaheira is a recruitable companion after Moonrise Towers, and you need her to recruit another companion in act 3. Both of them have considerable insight on the act 3 areas, and are overall very funny ...If you go to the upstairs part where the door is to the roof and fight there, leave a scrying eye alive you will eventually fight pretty much every enemy in moonrise of that level leaving just the docks, prison and roof left. You don't get any bonus dialogue for Jaheira if you wipe them all out before she even mentions and assault though.

Moonrise towers is insane and a companion issue. Hi. So. I'm streaming BG3 and I made it to moonrise towers. After a 3 hour of attempts in the first fight I succeeded.... only to discover I could not resurrect the fallen jaheira as she counts as a follower and not a companion. I felt like this MUST be an oversight. No original characters recruitable, except Jaheira and Minsc. Jaheira is an extremely annoying, mega-woke old witch, who will try to kill you (and die) on an evil playthrough, and is hard to keep alive during Tower siege in a good playthrough. Minsc is literally gated behind Jaheira, if anything happens to her then he is unattainable. Grymforge is an area in The Underdark. To get there, you will need to use the boat on the shores of The Underdark - Beach. From the docks at Grymforge, you can head to the left of the initial stairs to reach metal bars that say they lead to Moonrise Towers (or rather, the Shadow-Cursed Lands). Entering this way will bring you a closer distance ...Jaheira's oh well "looks like you're all full up" message is the most heartbreaking of all of them. Especially if you managed to keep her alive the whole time till that point.
