Four hours later of persistent negotiating and annoying the dealers, I left with the OTD being $32,500 with a 5.9% rate for 72 months. Don’t need to go all out and get a new amp or sub or anything, simply changing the stock speakers to something nicer with the same wattage is a big upgrade. Raptor lights in the front grill look awesome (4 small led lights embedded across the grill, they make cheap kits). Roof rack if you’re ever going to need that. I find Subaru's Eyesight system better than the TSS in some regards, but the Forester doesn't have lane centering like the RAV4. It's really a personal preference thing between these two for me. The cost difference between Hybrid Limited and Prime is around $10,000. For this money you can purchase 2500 gallons. (assume $4/gallon). You would need to drive the Prime for 100,000miles (@40 mpg) before amortizing the investment. However the Hybrid is noisy with a Poor quality passenger seat. The prices are going up from 2022 to 2023 (like every year). It depends on how much you need the car now and if you can wait another year, and wether those features are truly worth waiting for. The RAV4 is not as big as you think , its taller and you ride higher, but its footprint is closer to the prius then it is to a full size suv. The prius entire focus is on mpg, mine drove fine but it was slow and heavy, sometimes felt like a boat. RAV4 mpg combined was around 40. Camry mpg combined is around 48. Road and wind noise on the Camry are much quieter. Comfort on Camry is much higher. I’d rather have a Camry for a road trip. If a new hybrid rav4 is $35k and lasts 200k+ miles, 5k for that car is ok if you need a car today and have a backup car, because all the surprise mechanical issues will emerges towards the end of a cars life. If that's the most important thing to you, buy the Rav4. But other than that, it's a worse value than almost every one of its competitors (particularly the CX-5, CR-V, Tucson, and Rogue).
