The math is pretty simple: If a 2019 Powerstroke had 4.37 the engine's torque would be multiplied 17.35 times. (3.97 x 4.37). And the engine torque is 935 lbft. So 935 x 17.35 = 16221 lbft to the rear axle. The 2020 Powerstroke/10 speed looks like this: 4.615 first gear x 3.31 final drive x 1050 engine torque = 16039 lbft to the rear axle. Edit:Jul 24, 2012 · I had a 3" rough country lift with 37's on 20" factory wheels. The tires did not hit the wheel wells but they did rub the frame pretty bad at full turn. The tires were 37x12.50 nitto trail grappler. You can do all the lift you want but the tires are going to rub the frame with the factory wheels because of the off set. If your oem wheels were 17” then a 16% increase would be +2.5”. So similar oem handling would be on 20” wheels with 37” tires. Great explanation thanks. My stock tires are 34.5 with a 18 or 19 inch wheel. I will then go with the 20 on the 37's. My 6.5 lift and 37" tire rub under heavey wheeling. They do rub on full turn on the leafsprings but that's because the are 14" wide. I beleive if I had 12 or 12.5 wide they wouldn't rub on the leafsprings. The only way I see you could run 37"s with 4" of lift is as stated, by trimming your fender wells.

With both the 37's will fit a 2.5" but you will most likely encounter rubbing depending on wheel/tire combo. The 35's seem to be a better fit. I want to run 37 Toyo's because they have a higher load rating than the 35's. I would prefer the 2.5" but it looks like the 3.5" SST is the best option even though I am not excited about the shock ...

Keep in mind the stock tires are 34.5" in diameter. Going to a 35" doesn't accomplish much in terms of height. A 6" lift looks good with 37's, but not with 35's. Either way, 4" or 6" and 37's can't go wrong... also keep in mind, that a 6" lift starts to push you out of many home garages.
