I got the CFE223 powder to make defensive rounds using Lehigh 55g Controlled Chaos bullets. They are .900" long so limits the powder charge, especially in standard magazine length rounds.Best powders will be Varget or CFE-223. Myself I use Tac for 55 and 62 gr FMJBT's and CFE 223 for precision loads. You won't find any advantage using Tac over CFE 223 with plinking loads other than gaining experience with Tac. But trying new things is part of the fun in reloading. Use Ramshot data for Tac, it's right on.
