I am going to buy a Glock 30 or 30s in the coming weeks. From reading on the various gun forums it looks like more people like/love the 30s instead of the 30. I know the slide is slightly more narrow on the 30s compared to the 30 but the width of both guns is exactly the same according to the Glock specs and the other dimensions are the same.

I went with the 30 because the extra weight in the slide makes the recoil more managable and followup shots quicker. The 30s is 4oz lighter.According to Glock the 30S was designed for the LAPD's SIS and my understanding is they use 230 grain +P HST's in all their 45s. It would make sense to me to run the same ammo. the 30s is all win. if you're planning to carry it I would go w the 30s hands down. FYI the G41 and G21 frames are the same. the difference is in slide thickness. G21 has thick slide same thickness as a standard G30 G41 has a thin slide same thickness as a G30s also the "sf" frame designation is the same as the gen 4 without any backstraps.

The 30 does shoot softer than the 27 and also affords you the benefit of a full grip. The 36 isn't bad either. It has slightly more felt recoil than the 30 due to lighter slide and thinner grip.
