Cathedral is not a successor to Obsidian, they are just aesthetically different. Obsidian is a bit darker and moodier. It was still very pretty. I paired it with Re-Engaged ENB, would absolutely recommend that. Cathedral is a bit more "high fantasy"-esque and colorful (I immediately thought of LOTR when I used Rudy ENB for Cathedral).
