I had the same problem on my Gen 2. If you remove the dust cover you can watch the action. Dry fire, keeping the trigger depressed. Rack the bolt carrier and watch closely while releasing the trigger. I had to file a tiny bit of material from the underside of the hook part of the disconnector. I polished it up and it works perfectly every time now.

Ace Gen 2 308 ejection issues. I have a galil ace gen 2 in 308. I'm using ZSR 7.62 nato which I used in other rifles no issues. I have a very weak 1-2 o clock ejection maybe 2-5 feet. Everything I've read about this rifle is it should fling them into the next county. Put cutting oil on the contact surfaces, also install the aux spring ( I have the ALG-UL) if it came w the trigger. Then run a couple mags through pushing the trigger forward as needed. It took mine 2 mags to run w/o pushing the trigger. The reset is still slow/soft.
