The patterns will drop but u need the classes to craft them. It took me around 30-40 runs of wellspring before I acquired the two additional glaive patterns. You can acquire patterns for different classes other than what you're using. I acquired my Warlock and Titan glaive patterns while playing my hunter.

Exotic Glaive Patterns now drop from Master Wellspring. Title. I only had the Witch Queen Campaign completed on my Titan, therefore I only had Edge of Action. I also have a Hunter and a Warlock but I have not completed the campaign on them. Just finished a Master Wellspring and had a Edge of Intent Pattern drop.The issue is it's super situational and hindering your power for a scenario that could never happen.
