I don't think they will vaporize in flight but they will definitely be destructive on game and lack penetration. I decapped three fired Norma 300 brass and measured the headspace and it measured 2.275" and I measured three pieces of Lapua 300 brass out of the box, no sizing at all, and two pieces measures 2.260" while the 3rd piece measures 2.262".

I have found Reloder 23 to give me good performance in .270 Win., 7mmRM, and now the 300 Win. Mag. That looks good to me. I've found the same with RL23. I use it for pretty much everything requiring a slower powder (.260, .270, .280, 300 WM) with very good results. Mag primers generally cause more pressure than standard primers with the same load. Also some manuals recommend them for use with ball powders which are a little harder to ignite.
